Goldie’s Scholars is our Montessori-inspired primary classroom at Storybook Cottage, where children learn through hands-on experiences, creativity, and exploration. Guided by our mascot Goldie the Goose, students discover their “golden potential” through reading, art, music, and joyful learning. We are a state licensed center and have 4 openings for the current school year.

REFERRAL FEE- As a thank you for helping us grow, we are giving a $100 tuition credit for any families who refer a family that joins our school family.

Storybook Cottage Children’s School offers a warm, nurturing Primary classroom for preschool through Kindergarten, located in a cozy cottage setting. Our Montessori-inspired approach helps children develop confidence, independence, and a genuine love of learning during the most important early years.

With small class sizes and individualized guidance, each child is supported at their own pace and encouraged to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

A Complete Primary Program Including Kindergarten

Our Montessori-inspired Primary classroom includes Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten as part of a continuous three-year learning cycle, based on the philosophy of Maria Montessori.

The Kindergarten year is a special leadership year, where children strengthen their reading, writing, math, and problem-solving skills while developing confidence and responsibility. By the time children complete our program, they are fully prepared and confident for a successful transition into 1st grade.

Children develop:

  • Social skills and emotional readiness

Core Academic Program is from 9 am - 2pm. All students must be present by 9am. Dismissal is at 2pm.

Enrichment activities

We have a music room, art room, library, and an outside nature play yard. We rotate in our small groups during our day to each area of the cottage.

At Goldie’s Scholars, our Montessori-inspired curriculum nurtures creativity, independence, and a love of learning.

Our approach balances academic growth, creative exploration, and social-emotional development in a small, supportive classroom environment. We educate the whole child with many children well prepared to enter elementary grades.

Each day children rotate between academic area blocks, learning centers, enrichment rooms and an outdoor discovery yard.

We welcome children aged 3 to 6 into our Montessori-inspired mixed-age group settings, fostering a sense of community and peer learning. Contact us today to learn more about our admissions process and schedule a visit.
